What Is Macrame?

Macrame is the art of knotting only with your hands. It does not require the use of any tools.



Macramé is the art of knotting strings our cords in patterns making decorative pieces, only with your hands.

It is one of the oldest forms of art, 2300 B.C ,Persians and Assyrians where the first known to use these art. Than came the Arabs that brought the technique to Europe and later to America.

With the basic knots you can create the most beautiful pieces , but there are around 50 types of different knots that combined make incredible shapes and forms.
